
Peter Pettibone is an independent arbitrator and mediator based in New York City, with more than 16 years of experience resolving complex international disputes. His practice focuses on cross-border matters involving companies across the United States, Europe, Russia, and Asia, where he is known for his practical, business-oriented approach to dispute resolution.
Before establishing his independent practice, Mr. Pettibone spent over four decades as a corporate attorney advising on a broad range of international corporate and commercial matters. From 1967 to 2010, he practiced at leading global law firms, ultimately retiring as a partner at Hogan Lovells. During that time, he also served as managing partner of the Moscow offices of three international law firms between 1991 and 2010, gaining deep experience in cross-cultural legal and business environments.
A U.S. national, Mr. Pettibone is fluent in English and Russian and brings a global perspective to his arbitration and mediation work.
